1. Introduction

These terms and conditions govern the rental agreement between C’est la Vie Beach Villa Karpathos (“Owner”) and the person(s) renting the property (“Guest” or “Guests”). By booking and making a payment, Guests agree to abide by these terms.

1.1 Establishment Information and Description

Reasonable effort is made to provide accurate and up-to-date information on the website and the different booking platforms. However, changes may occur and can be made without prior notice. The overall interior and exterior photos are frequently updated to reflect the actual décor and surrounding environment. However, changes in decoration and alterations to the surroundings due to seasonal weather changes, extreme events, normal wear and tear or maintenance may occur.

2. Booking and Payment Terms

2.1 Booking Confirmation

A reservation is confirmed only upon receipt of a written confirmation by the booking platform used.

2.2 Pricing Policy

Once the booking is made, the Guest agrees to pay the rental cost, including any applicable charges and taxes.
Prices quoted on the website or booking platforms are those in effect at the time of viewing.

2.3 Payment Methods

Payment is accepted via:

Credit card (VISA and Mastercard only)

Online payment portal

All payments must be made in euros (€).

Wine Mini bar charges can be paid only via Credit card (VISA and Mastercard only)

2.4 Security Deposit

A security deposit of 150 is due upon arrival via an automatic credit card charge. The deposit is for security purposes and shall be refunded upon check-out and property inspection, provided no deductions are made due to:

Damage to the property, furniture, or equipment

Dirt/stains requiring excessive cleaning

Lost or missing items

Any costs incurred by the Owner due to the Guest’s stay

2.5 Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation by Guest:
For “Non-Refundable Rates,” full pre-payment is required at the time of booking. In case of cancellation, no refund applies.

For “Standard Rates,” the deposit will be refunded as described by the booking platform used.

Cancellation by Owner:
The Owner reserves the right to cancel the reservation due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a full refund will be issued, and the Owner will assist in finding alternative accommodation.

3. Rental Period

3.1 Check-In and Check-Out

Check-in time is from 14.00 till 23.00, and check-out is from 06.00-11.00.
Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may incur additional fees. Guests should inform the Owner of their expected arrival and departure times in advance.

3.2 Minimum Rental Period

The minimum rental period is 7 days. Exceptions may be granted based on availability, and surcharges may apply.

4. Occupancy and Use

4.1 Maximum Occupancy

Guests must disclose the number of occupants at the time of booking. Exceeding this limit without prior approval may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement and eviction, without a refund.

4.2 Use of Property

The villa is for residential use only and must not be used for illegal activities or disturbances. Guests must observe quiet hours (14:30-18:00 and 23:00-08:00).
The Owner reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement without refund if official complaints regarding excessive noise, disturbances, or violations of Greek law are received.

4.3 Parties and Events

Events or parties are only allowed with prior written consent from the Owner. Unauthorized events may result in additional charges or termination of the rental.

5. Maintenance and Responsibilities

5.1 Care of the Property

Guests must maintain the property in good condition and report any damages or issues upon arrival. Any unreported damage found after check-out may result in charges deducted from the security deposit.

5.2 House Rules

Guests must adhere to house rules regarding waste disposal, pool safety, and use of amenities.

5.3 Cleaning and Maid Service

The villa is cleaned and disinfected before arrival. Daily housekeeping is provided, with towels changed every two days and bed linens changed weekly unless otherwise agreed upon at booking. Waste is collected every two days. Amenities are offered on check in and not renewed unless explicitly requested by guests.

5.4 Water and Electricity

Interruptions in supply may occur. The Owner will make every effort to restore services promptly.

5.5 Internet and Satellite TV

Satellite TV and Wi-Fi are provided at no extra cost. However, signal strength and availability may vary. Interruptions in supply may occur. The Owner will make every effort to restore services promptly.

5.6 Pool use

Guests must adhere to house rules regarding pool safety.

No lifeguard is on duty. Children must be supervised at all times.

Diving is prohibited.

Water safety will be monitored by external crew and guest must allow the entrance of the crew to the external areas of the villa.

5.7 Valuables and Security

Each room is equipped with a safe. Guests are responsible for their valuables, and the Owner is not liable for loss, theft, or misplacement. Any forgotten items will be send to the guests by post.

6. Liability and Insurance

6.1 Owner’s Liability

The Owner is not responsible for any loss, injury, or damages suffered by Guests. Guests use the pool and other facilities at their own risk. No lifeguard is on duty.

6.2 Guest’s Liability

Guests are responsible for damages caused during their stay. If damages exceed the security deposit, additional charges may apply.

6.3 Insurance

Guests are strongly advised to have travel and personal liability insurance.

7. Force Majeure

The Owner is not liable for cancellations or service disruptions due to natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, airline or boat travel cancelations or other unforeseeable events.

8. Disputes and Jurisdiction

Any disputes will be governed by Greek law and resolved in the courts of Athens.

9.Termination of Agreement

The Owner may terminate the rental without refund if the Guest violates these terms.

10. Privacy Policy

The Owner will handle personal data in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

11. Pet Policy

Pets may be allowed upon prior approval. Additional cleaning fees may apply.

12. Smoking Policy

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the villa. Smoking is allowed only in designated outdoor areas.

13. Additional Services

Extra services (e.g., private chef, airport transfers) can be arranged upon request at an additional cost.

14. Safety and Use of Equipment

Guests are responsible for their own safety. The Owner is not liable for accidents resulting from misuse of equipment.

14.1 Pool Safety

No lifeguard is on duty. Children must be supervised at all times.

Diving is prohibited.

14.2 Fire and Barbecue Use

Guests must follow fire safety regulations and never leave open flames unattended.
